Today I wanted to show you a delicious side dish which helps you to use up all of your leftovers and which is just enough for two, although you could certainly multiply it to serve more people than that! Crispy Mash Hash!
Over here you can buy bags of frozen mash for £1 in the grocery shops and they are really very good, both in value and in flavour, and the ingredients are all natural from what I can tell. I always keep a bag or two in the freezer as they come in really handy sometimes.
Just look at all of those crunchy buttery crispy bits. Oh, I do love crunchy buttery crispy bits, don't you?
There's onion and garlic in this as well, adding more lovely flavours. I used the frozen the day I made this, but you can just as easily use leftover mashed potatoes as well.
You need never throw mash away again. I like the idea of that . . . you could also add crumbled corned beef or spam to the mix, or leftover chopped roasted meats. Ham would be lovely as would beef!
If you had some leftover turkey and stuffing, you could also add that and heat it all through for a very tasty and simple supper dish! A bit of gravy ladled over top and the end result would be very scrumptious indeed!
